Last May, I asked Ohad to help me plan a birding trip that I wanted to do at the end of the month in Austria. Mutual friends recommended him to me as an experienced and reliable birder.

Local Guides

Although the main purpose of this website was to motivate independent birdwatching, local guides are essential for their community and nature conversation in their country.
Down below I will recommend some amazing birdwatchers I had the luck to encounter in the field and will be the most accurtae guides for your travels.

Full Recommendations

Last May, I asked Ohad to help me plan a birding trip that I wanted to do at the end of the month in Austria. Mutual friends recommended him to me as an experienced and reliable birder. Ohad was happy to help, both in finding good sites for birding and especially in finding the target species of the trip, which I really wanted to see.
At the top of the list were the Grouses: Black Grouse, Western Capercaillie & Hazel Grouse. These birds are easily observed in Northern Europe, but in the Alps, they are very difficult without proper guidance, and even then, the chances are low. Ohad was helpful not only by locating many locations where the target species had been observed recently (close to the places and route where I planned to travel), but also gave me real tips about the behavior of the birds and how could I find it.
At the end of the trip, thanks to Ohad's excellent help, I was able to locate all 3 Grouses I was looking for, as well a large number of other species and enrich my birding trip on several levels, while maintain comfort and compliance with the trip itinerary.
